      "CY" 1919 - 2008 Peacefully on Tuesday January 8, 2008, age 89. Seraphim served as a soldier in the Second World War where he met and married his beloved wife of 53 years, the late Clasina Maria Van Aalst (1998). Loving father of Janet (David) Beitz and Surf Koebel (Debra Wilson). He is also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Stephen (Mandy) Beitz, Julie (Jeff) Crossman, Jaclyn (Scott) MacDonald and Shannon and Sheena Koebel. Proud great-grandfather of Rachael and Rebecca Beitz, and Dean and Samantha Crossman. Friends are invited to share their memories of Seraphim with his family at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo on Friday January 11, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Seraphim's life will be held at St. Aloysius RC Church, 11 Traynor Avenue, Kitchener on Saturday January 12, 2008 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Brian Quigley as celebrant. Interment in Erb Street Mennonite Cemetery. Reception will follow in the Parish Hall. Condolences for the family and donations to Canadian Cancer Society may be arranged through the funeral home, 519-745-8445 or www.erbgood.com. In living memory of Seraphim, a tree will be planted through the Trees for Learning Program by the funeral home.
