  BRAND, Shannon Michael At home, after a courageous battle, on August 23, 1998, at the age of 53 years. Beloved husband of the late Helen (nee O'Neill), loving father of Leona Brand and partner Mike Harvey, Lesley Pugliese and her husband Matt, Christine Gomes and her husband Didio. Shayne Brand and his partner Shannon Christie. Cherished granddad of Shannian, Jordan, Houston, Austin, Sean, Peter and Helen: dearly loved son of Esme Usher of Cambridge and Leonard Brand of England: dear brother of Nick Brand and Jennifer Peori, both of Cambridge. Long time "Chum" of Stephanie Renner of Cambridge. Shannon was richly loved by many: Survived by his many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Shannon was born in Dartford Kent, England and came to Canada in 1957. He worked as a photographer for the Cambridge Reporter for 14 years, then for Cambridge Transit, since 1974. Shannon was a member of the Preston Legion Branch No. 126. Friends may call at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., on Tuesday, Aug. 25.
