  Mrs. Shirley Sloan Foster Maus Shirley Sloan Foster Maus, passed away in Windsor on October 1st, 1999. A daughter of the late Anna Sloan and James Kenneth Foster of Smiths Falls, she was the beloved wife of Dr. John Hall Maus, and had celebrated 56 years of marriage. Dr. Maus is the eldest son of the late Jairus W. and Elizabeth Maus of Ayr. Shirley is survived by her children, Roger and Judy Maus of Ottawa, Elizabeth and George Snider of Kanata, Linda Maus of Iqaluit, Natalie Maus-Fisher of Cookstown and her husband Colin, Peggy Thorne and her husband Kent of Carp and Laurie Maus and her husband Robert Garner of Dunvegan. She was Gran and cookie baker to Trina and John Maus, John and Jennifer Snider, Christie Murphy, Adam and Anna Fisher, James Thorne and all their friends. Also survived by her sister Helen Johnston of Rideau Ferry and her aunt, Doris Cameron of Smiths Falls. A memorial service and reception will be held on Sunday, October 10 at 2 p.m. at Riverside United Church, 881 Glidden Ave., Windsor. Rev. Bill Gallagher officiating.
