  STIRLING, Thomas McAlpine, Sr. - Peacefully passed away, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Sunday, March 1, 2009, at the age of 84 years. Beloved husband of the late Agnes (Murray) Stirling (1970). Dear father of Thomas Stirling, Jr. of Cambridge. Survived by his sisters, Nancy of Scotland and May of Cambridge and by nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his daughter, May Stirling (2006). Thomas was a Veteran of the Second World War. Friends will be received at Coutts Funeral Home , 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge on Thursday, March 5, 2009 from 1-2: 30 p.m. Funeral and committal service will follow from the Coutts Chapel on Thursday at 2: 30 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Aubrey Botha of Central Presbyterian Church officiating. In memory of Thomas, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated.
