- MUIR, Vera - Suddenly, at the Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital, as the result of heart failure, on Saturday, Sept. 5, 1987, age 71 years, of 16 Ezra Ave., Waterloo. Mrs. Muir was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, the Evangelical Lutheran Church Women, the Waterloo Rebecca Lodge and was a retired employee of Waterloo Printing Ltd., where she had worked for many years. Beloved mother of Donna and her husband Lawrence Close of Oakville; dear daughter of Mrs. Elizabeth Packer of Kitchener; sister of Mrs. Alice Simon of Scarborough. She is also fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, George, her father, Eldon Brox, and one brother, Eldon. Mrs. Muir's family will receive friends at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, from 7-9 p.m. Sunday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Monday. At noon, on Tuesday, transfer will be made to St. John's Lutheran Church for the funeral service at 2 p.m. (Tuesday), with Rev. Eric Weber officiating, Interment to follow in Parkview cemetery, Waterloo.
