He was a native of London, England but lived in Hespeler, Ontario for a number of years.His parents are Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Lardner of Hespeler. He died in December 1917 at a Military Convalescent Hospital in London, Ontario having passed his twenty-ninth birthday. He was transferred to the 4th Battalion.1a
