  MRS. SAMUEL DEMPSEY PRESTON, April 5--The funeral of the late Mrs. Samuel Dempsey of London, mother of Benjamin Dempsey of Preston, who died in London Sunday, will be held from the residence of her son, 930 Queen street, Preston, Wednesday afternoon at 2 30 p.m. Interment will be made in Preston cemetery. A brief funeral service was held in London, yesterday afternoon following which the remains were brought to Preston. The late Mrs. Dempsey was well-known in Preston. She lived here for 22 years before going to London eight years ago. Following her marriage in 1877, the deceased lived at Parkhill for 34 years. She was born in Mooresville, McGillivray township 78 years ago. Besides her husband there survive four sons, Benjamin of Preston, Morley of Regina, Sask., Homer of Dovernay, Alta., John J. of Hamilton and three daughters, Mrs. E. P.
