      Now with his Lord, Jesus Christ. Born June 18, 1925, in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Died, at his residence, with his family by his side, on Friday, Dec. 7, 2001. Loving husband of Patricia (nee Nevidon); devoted father of Robert and his wife Sandy of Hamilton and Andy and his wife Wendy of Calgary, Alta. Robert leaves to mourn his loss his sister, Joan Cafferty of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England and many relatives in England and Ireland. Fondly remembered by his daughter-in-law, Linda Stanway and his grandchildren, Rhiannon, Tim, Kate, Sterling and Roxanne. Robert will be sadly missed by the Nevidon family: mother-in-law, Sally; brother-in-law, Vincent and his children, Shelley McLean and her husband John of Brantford, Steven and his wife Martha of Vanderhoof, BC and their families. Predeceased by his first wife, Mary Fieldhouse; a brother, Ronald (Jock) and his parents, Alfred and Elizabeth (Donnelly). Robert was a Regimental Sergeant Major with the First Battalion Seaforth Highlanders. Bob joined the army as a boy soldier (Chepstow, Wales) and progressed through the British Army to become a Staff Sergeant with the Royal Electrical Mechanical Engineers (REME). Raised in Northern Ireland, Hong Kong and Shanghai, he served with his regiment in Palestine, North Africa, Greece and Great Britain, before emigrating to Canada, in 1957. Family will receive friends at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge on Sunday, Dec. 9, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, Dec. 10, 2001, at St. Clement's Church, 745 Duke St., Cambridge, at 10 a.m. Interment following in Parklawn Cemetery, in Cambridge.
