Karl George "Charles" "Carl" Moogk![]() Loading... Charles G. Moogk Charles Moogk was born in Preston in 1848. He learned the carpenter trade in Detroit and returned to Waterloo region in 1867. He married Josephine Lockard and worked as a builder and an architect and was appointed Chief Engineer of the town of Waterloo in 1899. He served in that capacity until his death in 1924. He was associated with the construction of many prominent early Waterloo buildings including the post office, the first town (later city) hall and the Carnegie library building.
