Handwritten on the back is: The Blair General Store owner & operator was/ Geo L Johannes who also was the village blacksmith./ Mrs. Johannes who was known to all as Lydia/ run the store with help of some people from/ the village. Mr. Isaac Hertel the hotelkeeper/ in his white shirt was approached by Mr. Hartting/ who came from Kitchener and you will notice he/ is showing him a roast of beef./ My Bro Elmer standing beside them with rings/ of bolony in his hand as well as hanging on / the post./ My father with the white band on his head/ is talking to the driver./ I was born in the room with closed window/ May 10/ 1899.
