Textile-Wilmot-WilliamandJohnNoll-0001-1888-BruceCounty.jpg A red and white woven coverlet. It has a plain top hem with a red fringe along the sides and bottom. The pattern consists of a large star shape that is surrounded by leaf and flower shapes. There are vertical stripes between the star shape that is geometric in pattern. The outer edge has a leaf and flower border with a garland type pattern near the fringe. The proper bottom left corner has woven text in red that reads "Made by William and John Noll for Jacob Erb 1888" The coverlet was made for Jacob Erb, possibly for a wedding gift. Jacob Erb grew up on the 12th Concession of Culross Township and farmed on the 13th Concession after his marriage.
