The woollen mill of James Crombie and Company which shortly after was taken over by Robinson-Howell and Company. Later the company passed into new hands becoming the Ferguson-Pattinson Company, of which Mr. Pattinson was the moving spirit. The business finally came under his name and has, since its incorporation, Sept. 1st, 1920, been known as the George Pattinson Company, Limited. The present company is one of the foremost in the country in the woollen industry. Since his father's passing, Mr. Frank H. Pattinson is head of the business.
